I enjoyed watching comedian Jim Carrey on Oprah recently be interviewed. When Oprah asked Jim what mantra or motto he held dear to in his life, the funny man replied, I am heaven. Jim elaborated saying that heaven should not be a place try to get to, or wait for. On the contrary we should cultivate heaven within our hearts and lives daily.
I can hear my Christian friends saying, Yeah, but there really is a place God calls heaven. True indeed there is and we who believe in Christ our Savior shall eventually see that lovely place. Yet let's not forget Jesus also taught His disciples to pray to God the Father saying, Let Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).
Humans therefore are to bring heaven to earth in their daily lives. Hence I agree with Jim Carrey's remark and mantra. In fact Jesus said, The kingdom of heaven is within you (Luke 17:21). Furthermore the kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17); inwardly accessed by the born again believer.
Jim goofed and played around irreverently making faces at the video cameras while Oprah's show was being filmed for viewing. He then jumped from the stage and grabbed a lady in the audience with whom he danced briefly after informing her You've got to let me lead if we're going to do this. Jim then gave her a quick whirl and twirl.
Returning to the TV set to carry on the discussion with Oprah, Jim encouraged people to get in touch with their silly self and let go a bit to have some fun.
Living from the inside out truly is fun and brings about remarkable blessings. Let the life from within fearlessly flow enabling you to connect more spontaneously and meaningfully with others, wherewith creativity and miracles shall occur freely without effort.
