Barefaced cheek! Entire cast and audience of The Talk go make-up free on live TV

Have you ever wondered what daytime TV talk hosts look like before they go into hair and make-up?
Today, to celebrate the third season premiere of The Talk, co-hosts Sheryl Underwood, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Julie Chen gave viewers an eyeful as they went au natural.
Wearing robes and towels, the ladies covered their faces as they first walked out on stage, eventually revealing their make-up free selves to the equally be-robed and fresh-faced audience.

The idea for the show belonged to former Roseanne star Sara Gilbert who explained: 'There's not many people that would go on TV in front of millions with no make-up, so to be in a group that are willing to do that together is really cool.'
'It shows that we're willing to show parts of our lives that not everybody is willing to show.
'We really are girlfriends and because we feel safe with each other, we're willing to show more of ourselves to the public,' she said
'But tomorrow we'll be right back [wearing make-up],' co-host and comedienne Sheryl Underwood quipped.

And the hosts and audience weren't the only women to appear on camera without beauty products, guests Jamie Lee Curtis also joined in the the theme of the show.
Bearing a pack of make-up removing wipes, the Halloween actress dubbed herself the authenticity police and went on to talk about the need for truth in advertising.
'Women of The Talk r so brave to bare their natural faces w/o makeup on today & tomorrows show. Proud to b with them & honor truth & beauty,' she tweeted after her appearance.
The Young and the Restless stars Melody Scott Thomas and Michelle Stafford and Katherine Kelly Lang from The Bold and the Beautiful also went make-up free on the chat show.

For fun the producers also flashed up before-and-after images of the hosts on the big screen.
'Gorgeous,' the ladies gushed when a shot of Sharon Osbourne looking equally radiant barefaced was revealed alongside one fully made up.
'She has the best skin, like on the planet, I think,' Gilbert said.
But the British reality TV star, who has been open about undergoing plastic surgery in the past, shot back: 'No, no, it's all bought and paid for.'
The America's Got Talent judge also admitted: 'I dyed my eyebrows and I dyed my eyelashes [before the show].'
