It is not every day Anderson Cooper gifts someone with a teddy bear from his personal collection.
So when the newsman saw Kristin Chenoweth had put her Maddie dog on eBay, he was not going to just let it slide.
In fact, the CNN favourite used it as an opportunity for a spot of good-natured ribbing when he called her out on her antics after she guest-hosted on his show Anderson Live today.

As Kristin opened the sealed box he said: 'Does that look familiar? That looks familiar because we gave that to Kristin and she re-gifted it.
'She sold it on eBay. We're on eBay and we see Anderson Cooper gave me this.
'We gave her a 500 dollar donation for charity.'
Kristin protested, saying 'it was for charity' as she pulled the box over her head.
But anyone who fell in love with the bear, which is a replica of her real-life best friend Maddie, has another opportunity to buy it, as she put it back on the auction website to raise even more funds.

For the 45-year-old explained his decision to finally come out of the closet in July.
He said: 'It just got to the point where I’ve been torn for a long time between a desire as a reporter to just do my job and be known as a reporter and, at the same time, I do think visibility is important.
'I do think that the tide of history only moves forward when everyone is fully visible.

Kristin also talked about the accident that saw her rushed to hospital after hitting her head on a curb after being struck by falling lighting equipment on the set of The Good Wife in July.
The 44-year-old said: 'I was just standing there with my prop phone and I just remember saying "Oh this phone is," that is all I remember.'
She received treatment as she cracked her nose in two places, had a skull fracture and sustained fractured ribs, and ended up taking a few months off to recover and heal from her injuries.
