Chuck and Blair have a son called Henry who is dressed exactly like his father


ts backstabbing, illicit romances and dirt-mongering has kept viewers enthralled for the past six seasons.But Gossip Girl finally came to an end with its last ever episode on Monday night, in truly dramatic fashion.
Fans of the show were treated to two weddings, a baby and the ultimate revelation - that 'Lonely Boy' Dan Humphry is in fact the infamous blogger.

The episode also saw Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) tie the knot with her on-off-on again boyfriend Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick), while Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) wed Dan (Penn Badgley.)
The episode, entitled New York, I Love You XOXO, begins with Chuck in serious trouble when his villainous father Bart falls to his death after the pair had a rooftop fight.
Finding himself in the frame for Bart's accidental death, Chuck and Blair hide out while friends and family cover for him.
However, they end up being tracked down by Chuck's slightly sinister uncle Jack who advises them to get married so Blair can't testify against him under spouse privileges.

Unsurprisingly, the loved up Blair is ultra keen on the idea, telling Chuck: 'Every trembling bone in my tired body wants to marry you.'
After informing her that: 'Life with you could never be boring,' Chuck gets down on one knee and proposes, but worries this won't be Blair's dream wedding.
She reassures him everything will be fine, and  the couple amass their friends and family for the big occasion, with Blair looking stunning in a light blue lace wedding gown and silver leaf style  headband.

'A lifetime's relationship with Elie Saab does have its perks,' Blair tells Serena prior to the nuptials, before cattily advising her against a future with Dan who 'will never be one of us.'
As a Gossip Girl reader informs the police of Chuck's whereabouts, it's a race against time for Chuck, clad in a white tuxedo and his bride to tie the knot, with Blair's stepfather managing to pronounce them husband and wife.
The pair share a kiss before police lead him away in handcuffs. But with no witnesses or evidence, they end up letting the couple go, putting Bart's death down to an 'accident'.

Meanwhile, after stopping Serena (Blake Lively) from getting on the plane to LA, Dan (Penn Badgley) begins to tell her the truth about his past.
There's a flashback to his first Upper East Side Party where he ended up by accident. 
But he tells Serena he couldn't leave the party after setting eyes on her. 'You're nobody unless you're talked about,' he tells her.
Meanwhile, Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) is busy trying to work out the identity of Gossip Girl.

However, Dan stops short of telling Serena the truth and instead hands the final chapter of his novel revealing his true identity to Nate and his newspaper Spectator.
With the truth out, famous faces like Jessica Szohr's Vanessa, Katie Cassidy's Juliet and Willa Holland's Agnes are featured reacting to the revelation.
There's even an O.C. cameo appearance from Gossip Girl narrator Kristen Bell and Rachel Bilson who appear to be reading a script from Dan's novel Inside.

Meanwhile Dan has some explaining to do and says that as an outsider from Brooklyn, he knew he didn't have a chance with Serena unless he became a 'somebody' in her privileged world.
'I wasn't born into this world, maybe I could write myself into it,' he says. 'Every writer needs his muse.'
He adds: 'When Serena came back from boarding school, I wrote my first post about me, I may have been a joke but at least people were talking about me.'

In another revelation, he confesses his sister Jenny knew his identity all along and fed him stories about her to put on the site.
Blair is unimpressed with the news declaring Dan 'ruined our lives,' but Serena says she's 'okay with it.'
She adds: 'What he did with that power was to write a love letter. Not just to me but to all of us. It made me realise that I belong here and so does Dan.'

In a poignant moment, Blair asks: 'So does this mean we can all grow up and move on?' to which Dan responds: 'Gossip Girl's dead.'
Fast forward five years and Nate is running for mayor of New York City while Chuck and Blair have a son Henry who is dressed like a miniature version of his father in a suit and bow tie.
Eric and Jenny (Taylor Momsen) makes a cameo appearance for the nuptials of  Dan and Serena who sweeps down the staircase in a splendid gold and white gown.

However, in an unexpected twist, it seems that Gossip Girl is not quite dead.
The drama ends with another voiceover declaring: 'You may be rid of Dan Humphrey but you'll never be rid of me. There'll always be someone on the outside wanting to get in. Who am I now? That's one secret I'll never tell. XoXo. Gossip Girl.'
