But on Friday Emma Stone showed there’s nothing cavegirl about her appearance in real life, although she certainly seems to share her character’s curiosity – particularly when it comes to fashion.
The actress made sure all eyes were on her as posed alongside a cardboard cut-out of Eep, wearing a similar shade of orange at the photocall for her latest film The Croods at the 2013 Berlinale International Film Festival.
In the orange: Emma Stone coordinated her look with her character at The Croods photocall at Berlinale on Friday
The blonde star slipped into a simple orange and white sleeveless shift dress, by Stella McCartney.
Opting to go bare-legged the 24-year-old showed off her ivory skin and slim legs, which she further accentuated with a pair of nude coloured Christian Louboutin heels.
Chic: The actress looked great in an orange and white Stella McCartney dress, with a pair of nude heels
Simple: The overall look was very sophisticated including her hair which was piled on top of her head
Her hair was worn off her face in a sophisticated up-do which was a far cry from her character’s much messier look.
The final touch to her look was a pair of simple silver drop earrings.
Co-star: Emma posed alongside Nicolas Cage who is the voice of the main character in the film Grug
Homage: Like Emma, Nicolas seemed to be copying his character's look a little as he sported a beard
Like Grug he sported plenty of facial hair and his dark hair was worn in a slight quiff.
Keeping it simple he wore a smart black suit with an open neck black shirt.
Having fun: The actors posed alongside directors Kirk De Micco and Chris Sanders
Standing proud: Emma showed off her pale skin by opting to go bare-legged
Set in the prehistoric era the film tells the story of Grug (Cage) who is forced to leave behind the world he knows after an earthquake.
With his family in tow, he ventures out into the world to try and make a new life but things get complicated when his eldest daughter (Stone) falls for a nomad (Reynolds).
Talking things through: The 24-year-old looked on as her famous co-star spoke about the film
It’s been a busy time for Emma who was also recently seen as part of an ensemble cast for Movie 43 which also stars Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Naomi Watts, Halle Berry and Richard Gere among a slew of star-studded names, as well as starring in Gangster Squad with Sean Penn.
She is also signed on to film the sequel to the successful Spider-Man where she will reprise her role of love interest Gwen Stacy.
The Croods is released on March 22nd.
Passionate: The actress seemed to have a lot to say about voicing her character in the film
